Red Cross facing blood shortage

TOLEDO — The American Red Cross is facing a severe blood shortage and urgently needs blood and platelet donors to give now to avoid delays in lifesaving medical care for patients. Volunteer blood drive hosts are also critically needed to prevent the shortage from worsening this winter.

Bridge offering holiday activities

FINDLAY — Bridge Home Health and Hospice is offering Holiday Memories grief support program for children ages 6-12 who have lost a loved one, allowing them to remember those who have passed in a healthy setting, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Dec. 10 in the Marathon Auditorium at Blanchard Valley Hospital, 1900 S. Main St., Findlay.

Concert slated Dec. 2

Jim Bloomfield will perform a gospel concert as part of the Blue Christmas service at 6 p.m. Dec. 2 at Harpster United Methodist Church, 17508 Cherokee St., Harpster. A love offering will be taken.

Bridge Hospice having wreath-making events

FINDLAY — Bridge Hospice Bereavement Services is offering a Holiday Memorial Wreath-making event at two locations for those who have lost a loved one. Guests will create and display a wreath in memory of loved ones this holiday season. The entire family is welcome to participate in this activity.
