OLC veterans program

Students and staff at Our Lady of Consolation School honored all veterans with a patriotic program Nov. 12. Twenty-six distinguished veterans were honored and celebrated with songs, readings and poems.

INDIANAPOLIS — John and Lyndsey Wood, formerly of Forest and currently of Tipton, Indiana, are the parents of a boy. Lucas Asher Wood was born at 11:35 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, at IU North Hospital, Indianapolis.

Thanksgiving meal in Carey

CAREY — A free community Thanksgiving dinner is 12:30-2:30 p.m. Thursday at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God, 1888 CH 96, Carey. Food and fellowship are available, as well as rides to those who need them.

Harpster UMC to host concert

Jim Bloomfield will perform a gospel concert as part of the Blue Christmas service at 6 p.m. Dec. 2 at Harpster United Methodist Church, 17508 Cherokee St., Harpster. A love offering will be taken. For more information, call 740-496-2551.

Humane Society: November 20, 2018

The following report was prepared and submitted by the Wyandot County Humane Society on Monday and is correct as of that date. Pets reported as missing since the last report that have not been found include an older male tan Lab, a black neutered male cat, a neutered male gray tiger and white cat, two young male German shepherds wearing camo collars, a female brown tiger cat and a black and tan neutered male German shepherd.

St. Peter School was privileged to honor veterans related to students at the school. The children invited their heroes to join them for a Mass that was dedicated to the veterans.
