Kingwood hosting events

MANSFIELD — Kingwood Center Gardens has announced the return of Christmas at Kingwood, the spectacular indoor and outdoor holiday experience. Each night, visitors will enjoy magical Christmas lights and decorations from the decked rooms of Kingwood Hall, the Tree Walk featuring trees and wreaths by local businesses, a special Greenhouse display and the outdoor Trail of Lights.

Rotary Club pancake breakfast set for Dec. 1

The Rotary Club of Upper Sandusky will hold its largest fundraiser of the year with its annual pancake breakfast from 7-11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 at John Stewart United Methodist Church. Discounted tickets are for sale now from any Rotary member, or can be purchased at the door the day of the event.

DAVENPORT, Iowa — Julian Pelfrey, of Upper Sandusky, has been named to the summer 2018 dean’s list at Palmer College of Chiropractic’s main campus, Davenport, Iowa. To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must achieve a minimum GPA of 3.5 in all studies for the respective term. The highest possible GPA is a 4.0.

Red Cross has urgent blood donation needs

TOLEDO — The American Red Cross is facing a severe blood shortage and urgently needs blood and platelet donors to give now to avoid delays in lifesaving medical care for patients. Volunteer blood drive hosts are also critically needed to prevent the shortage from worsening this winter.

That’s why the Wyandot County Safe Communities Coalition and local law enforcement agencies want to stress that seat belts save lives.

Church having service tonight

The annual community Thanksgiving service is 7 p.m. today at Emanuel United Church of Christ (The Mud Church). Sponsored by the Upper Sandusky Area Ministerial Association, the annual service will be led by the ministers from area churches.
