Shrine announces special October Masses CAREY — The Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey, will host several special Masses in October. The first Mass is 7 p.m. Oct. 11 for hope and healing. This Mass is for cancer victims, survivors, caregivers and their loved ones. Following Mass, the Friars will be available for special healing prayers with individual visitors and families. The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick also will be available. Since October is known as breast cancer awareness month, the church especially prays for those with this disease. Read More
