The Wyandot Tracers Genealogy Society is holding its annual Pioneer Families of Wyandot County recognition banquet at 6 p.m. Oct. 21 at Cheers 2U, 119 N. Sandusky St., Upper Sandusky. A buffet style meal will be served at 6:30 p.m.

ASHLAND — Destini Oler of Sycamore, is a member of the Ashland University women’s cross country team. Oler is majoring in art education and is a 2018 Mohawk High School graduate. She is a daughter of Steve and Misty Oler, Sycamore.

Saturday the Carey community and those in surrounding areas are invited to Drive 4 UR School for O.L.C. school. The Ford Drive 4 UR School event is 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the original Shrine Church Parking Lot, 400 Clay St., Carey.

The Seneca County Prosecutor’s Office recently announced the hiring of Eleanor J. Anderson as an assistant prosecuting attorney. Anderson will be working part-time in the civil and juvenile divisions. Anderson is a life-long resident of Seneca County.

There are still spaces available at the Tiffin Historic Trust Halloween-themed Victorian Tea, “Winterberry Farm Spirits” held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Grammes-Brown House, 172 Jefferson St., Tiffin. The program will be presented by Sabrina Schneppat and author and historian Lisa Swickard. Enjoy and elegant tea, a frightening tale of the spirits of Winterberry Farm and enjoy a self-guided tour of the “haunted” Grammes-Brown house and garden.

FINDLAY — A one-time drawing will be held Oct. 16, 2019, for trapping opportunities in the wildlife refuge on Killdeer Plains Wildlife Area in southern Wyandot County, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife.
