An Upper Sandusky man admitted to investigators that he helped produce methamphetamine during a videotaped interview the jury watched during the second day of his trial Wednesday in Wyandot County Common Pleas Court. Benjamin M. Gamble, 26, is charged with a third-degree felony possession of chemicals for the manufacturing of drugs and a first-degree felony complicity to the illegal manufacture of drugs with a juvenile specification.

SYCAMORE — Mohawk High School will present its spring musical, “Lucky Stiff,” at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. “Lucky Stiff” centers on a regular Joe, Harry Witherspoon, working as a shoe salesman in England. He learns that he is about to inherit $6 million.

The first day of trial for an Upper Sandusky man accused of contributing to meth lab operations was completed Tuesday in Wyandot County Common Pleas Court. Wyandot County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Eric Figlewicz and defense attorney Thomas Nicholson spent approximately 2 1/2 hours questioning potential jurors for the trial.

The Upper Sandusky fourth grade girls basketball team is undefeated this season and recently won the championship at the Cardington tournament. The team is 11-0 and beat Shelby twice to win the Mid-Ohio Basketball League championship.

Dave Kitzler clears snow from sidewalks in front of the Wyandot County Courthouse and Sheriff’s Office this morning. The area was blanketed with 2-3 inches of snow Monday and overnight, causing school closings throughout the area.

McCUTCHENVILLE — Legal preparations are underway to dissolve the McCutchenville Volunteer Fire Department. Sycamore will take over the McCutchenville station and the two agencies will combine under the Sycamore Fire and Rescue name to cover both coverage areas.
