FOREST — When the Tree Town Festival steps off the largest parade in the county on July 7, it will be led by a couple known and endeared throughout the village of Forest. Bob and Sharon Beitler have been named this year’s grand marshals of the annual summer event.

A house on TH 103 was a total loss after a fire Tuesday afternoon, according to a Wyandot County Sheriff’s report. Jenny M. Bosch was not home when her residence was found engulfed in flames.

A crash on U.S. 23 north of Upper Sandusky involving a semi-truck led to the death of a Findlay woman at approximately 10:30 Saturday night. Darlene A. Kujawa, 67, was transported by medical helicopter to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, where she succumbed to injuries suffered in the crash, according to a report by the Bucyrus Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The Upper Sandusky youth soccer team The Divas was among multiple youth teams recognized during Columbus Crew SC’s “Night of Champions.” The Divas won the chance to attend the event by winning a tournament in Bluffton.

An employee of an Upper Sandusky gun manufacturer has pleaded not guilty to felony weapons charges in a case in which police say they found two loaded handguns and a glass pipe with marijuana in a car he was driving during a traffic stop.
