A fire occurred on the 100 block of North Fifth Street in downtown Upper Sandusky on Thursday afternoon. The Upper Sandusky Fire Department was able to extinguish the blaze in the back of the building after arriving within six minutes of being alerted by the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office.

The Upper Sandusky Community Library’s STEAMpunks group met for the first time since summer break on Monday. The first meeting was Halloween-related, with all participants carving their own take-home shrunken heads made out of skinned potatoes on a stick.
