The Warriors, who just earned the No. 10 spot in Division IV in the latest state poll, made just 5 of 27 field goals in the first half, falling behind 29-13 at the half.

Upper Sandusky City Council thanked all the workers in the city, especially members of its street department as well as volunteers Tuesday evening at its regularly scheduled meeting. The crews worked throughout the weekend to help clear the roads in the city after heavy snowfall on Saturday.

SYCAMORE — Without a go-to scorer this year, the Carey girls basketball team has struggled offensively at times this year. On Tuesday night, Sadie Arend stepped up and filled that void with 18 points to lead the Blue Devils to a 44-30 victory against rival Mohawk in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference girls basketball game.

BUCYRUS — Upper Sandusky won big over its fellow pool mates as all three schools celebrated senior night Friday evening at the Bucyrus YMCA. The Rams girls topped Wynford 261-100, with Bucyrus scoring 76 points, while Upper Sandusky’s boys scored 130 points, with the Royals topping the Redmen 73-24 for second place.

A worker plowed the remnants of this weekend’s winter storm from sidewalks and parking spaces on South Sandusky Avenue on Monday morning. The city received nearly a foot of snow Saturday into early Sunday morning, causing church services to be canceled and businesses to close.
