Upper library hosts clothing swap

For the last week, the basement of the Upper Sandusky Community Library has been closed off for sorting and sizing clothing donations for the annual clothing swap. Now, it is officially open through Saturday at noon during library hours for the community to come find clothes to fill a need or to jazz up a lackluster wardrobe.

Upper Sandusky student receives OHSAA umpire license

When Upper Sandusky senior Connor Landversicht is umpiring a baseball game, he feels he is giving back to the community and is closer to and more involved in the game he loves. Landversicht began taking his Beginning Officials courses through the Ohio High School Athletic Association in the middle of February in Marion, where he received instruction from Casey Mackay, a high school and college baseball umpire. He took a rules test, mechanics test and an OHSAA test and was required to have a score of 70% or higher on each test.
