The Star Players, Inc. are in final preparation for this summer’s big musical production, Disney and Cameron McIntosh’s “Mary Poppins, The Broadway Musical,” which opens at 7:30 p.m. July 26 at The Star Theatre, 121 W. Wyandot Ave., Upper Sandusky.
MARION — Attendees are in for a treat at the 2019 Marion Popcorn Festival free performance featuring The Bill Foley Trio at 2 p.m. Sept. 5 at the historic Palace Theatre.
First Baptist Church of Upper Sandusky, located at 590 Houpt Drive, will be holding the First Baptist Fireworks Festival from 6-9 p.m. July 6. The festival is free and includes carnival games, face painting and bounce houses.

The Star Theatre’s production of “9 to 5: The Musical” opened last weekend and continues this weekend. Filled with outrageous antics, incredible music and extreme talent, the musical, which is based on the classic film of the same name, offers something for everyone (though some material is unsuitable for children).
The Star Players Inc. invite interested singers, dancers and actors ages 6 through adult to open auditions for its summer musical production, Disney and Cameron McIntosh’s “Mary Poppins The Broadway Musical.” Auditions are 2 p.m. June 1 and 2 and 6:30 p.m. June 3 at The Star Theatre, 121 W. Wyandot Ave., Upper Sandusky.
The Star Theatre’s presentation of “9 to 5: The Musical” opens Friday, with show times at 7:30 p.m. May 10, 11, 17 and 18 and 2 p.m. May 12. Tickets are $15 for nonmembers and $12 for members.
