MOUNT BLANCHARD — Carey earned the girls team championship, while Riverdale’s Kolten Evans was the boys individual winner in the Riverdale Invitational cross country meet Thursday. With only three girls teams having enough runners to score, the Blue Devils tied North Baltimore with 33 points but took first place based on their sixth-runner finish. Riverdale was third with 54 points. Ema Ritter led the Blue Devils in fourth place in 22:09.81, with Elysa Holsinger sixth in 23:13.11. Ellianna Arnold finished 12th in 24:07.91, Gracie Luhring was 13th in 24:12.77, and Kinsey Motter was 14th in 24:37.65. Alexis Mattimoe’s 22nd-place finish in 26:18.86 broke the tie five places ahead of the Tigers’ sixth runner. Gwen Bucher paced Riverdale in fifth place in 22:44.66, with Ava Brooks taking 15th place in 24:43.16. Addi Manns was 17th in 25:31.69, Lexi Dailey was 18th in 25:36.69, and Lauren McBride finished 21st in 26:17.32. North Baltimore’s Ady Reynolds won in 20:57.27. Evans won the boys race by nearly a full minute, finishing in 16:34.79 for the boys runner-up Falcons. They were topped by Elmwood 28-64. Carey was third with 83 points. Riverdale’s Gabe Donaldson was third in 17:49.34, while Giovanni Noascono was 15th in 19:26.29 and Ethan Spitnale 17th in 19:37.94. Mike Penwell finished 40th in 24:49.60. Brylon Middleton led the Blue Devils by finishing 13th in 19:04.16. Riley Miller was 16th in 19:34.99, and Callen Lewis finished 20th in 19:52.49. Oliver Sidor finished 22nd in 20:04.40, with Carter Hall taking 24th place in 20:28.66. Carey’s Sawyer Miller was the boys junior high winner. Riverdale’s Zane Voll was 10th. Times were not available. The Falcons’ Adalynn Woodruff won the junior high girls race in 13:53.42, with the Blue Devils’ Michelle Hohman second in 14:23.68.
