BUCYRUS — Entry forms are available through the start of the Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival for its 2016 art show. Forms are available at the Bucyrus Public Library, Bucyrus Visitors and Tourism Bureau, MB Subculture and the Bucyrus Area Chamber of Commerce.

Humane Society: July 26, 2016

The following report was prepared and submitted by the Wyandot County Humane Society on July 21 and is correct as of that date: Pets reported as missing since the previous report that have not been found include a tiger with orange female cat, a black and tan female chihuahua and a female tiger and white cat.

Special ‘Willy Wonka’ meal planned in Upper

The Wyandot County Council on Aging will host a special “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” luncheon in honor of the upcoming production of “Willy Wonka” at the Star Theatre. Thursday’s meal will include tomato soup, roast beef, baked potatoes, blueberry pie, a chocolate foundation and other sweets.

Deadline approaching for ’16 foundation apps

The Wyandot County Community Foundation now is accepting applications for its 2016 grant program, and the deadline is approaching. The community foundation will award a number of small grants to Wyandot County 501(c)3 organizations, schools or government units to support their programs.

Church to distribute free school supplies

BUCYRUS — Elementary school children from low-income families can get free school supplies, play games for prizes and visit an information fair with parents at the eighth annual back-to-school supply carnival and information fair from 3-6 p.m. Thursday at Bucyrus United Methodist Church’s Outreach Center, 216 Hopley Ave.

Patent attorney to speak

SYCAMORE — The Mohawk Community Library will host a program on intellectual property protection, covering inventions, patents, trademarks and copyrights at 6 p.m. Aug. 9. Jacob M. Ward, registered patent attorney with the law firm Fraser Clemens Martin & Miller LLC, will present the seminar.

Annual Victoria tea to have haunting theme

TIFFIN — “Victorian Tea: Drinkers and Winkers — Ghostly Tales of Tiffin” will be presented by Lisa Swickard during the annual tea presented by the Tiffin Historic Trust. The tea is set for 12:30 p.m. Aug. 13 at the trust’s Grammes-Brown House.
