MARION — A set of quadruplets featured in The Daily Chief-Union at birth and a milestone have graduated from high school with plans to go their separate ways but bonds that hold them together.

FOREST — Tim Striff has grown quite attached to something over the past nine months. Yet he hopes to give it up at a moment’s notice sometime over the next 30 days, but not before extolling its benefits. Most importantly, how it has kept him alive.

Jean Weaver of Upper Sandusky calls her artwork “quilts with meaning.” The featured artist at the annual showcase of a local art studio, art quilter Weaver shared her unique designs along with more than 30 other students of art instructor Bonnie Wolfe earlier this month.

HARPSTER — The calm actions of a 12-year-old boy in the face of adversity on Father’s Day have made one local father especially proud.

Speakers cried Saturday night as attendees heard what the word “hope” means to cancer survivors and their families and each letter was lit up at the annual Relay For Life of Wyandot County event at Upper Sandusky High School. For Trisha Troiano, the words were personal. Her mother, Carole Shaw, is a three-time cancer survivor and was this year’s honorary survivor.

The Wyandot County Museum hosted Treasures From My Mother’s Attic on Saturday, a show that demonstrated fashion throughout the years. Displayed fashions included those from the early 20th century through the 1980s, Bonnie Eyestone said.
