SYCAMORE — With Cole Rieman back in the mix, Leipsic had more athletes than Mohawk could handle. The team’s leading receiver came back from an injury that caused him to miss the last six games and had five catches for 96 yards, including four for 85 in the second half when the Vikings ran away with a 40-14 victory against the Warriors in a Division VII Region 26 quarterfinal Saturday night at Warrior Field.

Cheryl Lyon recently took on the responsibility of the adult programs, although she has been heading the popular What’s Cookin’ cookbook discussion group for years.

The Wyandot County Council on Aging held its annual Holiday Bazaar Thursday and Friday, selling holiday decor, children’s items, baked goods, candy and more. The COA also is holding a quilt raffle, which will be drawn Dec. 1. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5.

The White Shutter Winery and Brewery hosted a celebrity bartending event Thursday in support of United Way of Wyandot County. Participating bartenders were Cassie Carlson of the Carey Chamber of Commerce, Chris Daris of Edward Jones, Amanda Fleming of the Wyandot Chamber of Commerce, Brian Kimmel of Kimmel Corporation, Jordan Treadway of iHeartMedia and Upper Sandusky Mayor Scott Washburn.
