Mohawk’s Oler has All-Ohio finish to only cross country season

HEBRON – With a push down the last straightaway, Destini Oler beat Annette Daniel’s Mohawk school record and secured a spot among Ohio’s finest cross country runners. Breece’s 3rd-quarter TD passes lift Rockets to win over Warriors

PANDORA — Mohawk seemed to have the momentum when it blocked a punt and scored a touchdown to open the second half, but Pandora-Gilboa stole it back quickly on the arm of quarterback Jared Breece. He threw a pair of third-quarter touchdown passes, and the No. 3 Rockets held off the No. 6 Warriors, 19-15, in a Division VII Region 26 first-round playoff game Friday night in Pandora.

Mohawk facing strong offense

SYCAMORE — Mohawk has faced its share of high-powered offenses throughout the regular season. The Warriors’ defense will be tested yet again, as they face a Pandora-Gilboa offense that Mohawk coach Brent Konkle said is similar to two teams they have seen in Northern 10 Athletic League play in numerous ways — Wynford and Seneca East.
