Upper hosting soccer camp

The Upper Sandusky High School boys soccer team will be holding a soccer camp for boys entering first through eighth grades from June 18-21. Soccer skills will be taught, and each camper will receive a ball and T-shirt.

Outdoor skills camp June 14

Wyandot County Pheasants Forever, in partnership with the Ohio Division of Wildlife and Rogers Conservation Club, is hosting four events this summer, including the first Outdoor Skills Day. The Youth Outdoor Skills event for those 17 and younger is 5:30-8 p.m. June 14 at Sam Walton (Ellis) Lake. Space is limited, and the event is close to capacity.

Falcons’ Aidan Loveridge named to 1st team

Riverdale’s Aidan Loveridge was a first-team All-Blanchard Valley Conference baseball selection in the release of BVC spring awards Wednesday. The Falcons’ Seth McElree and Wayne Frey earned second-team honors, while Jonathan Walter and Alec Loveridge were picked as honorable mention.

Royals’ Watson makes fast improvements in 400

Training for state

BUCYRUS — Each of his last four meets, Wynford High School junior Alizhah Watson has reduced his time in the 400 dash. Now, as he prepares to compete in the 400 dash in the state meet Friday and possibly Saturday at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium at Ohio State University, Watson is hopeful he will set a new personal best time each day.

Carey, Wynford nab All-Ohio baseball honors

Arguably the best season in the history of Carey baseball was capped off with All-Ohio honors for three senior players and a top honor for its coach. Trey Bame was named first-team All-Ohio, while teammates Brayden Wentling and Easton Roark received honorable mention in Division IV.
