Plymouth rallies past Wynford

BUCYRUS — Plymouth rallied from a five-run deficit to beat Wynford, 13-11, in a nonconference baseball game Saturday. The Big Red scored once in the sixth inning and then used a six-run top of the seventh to win.

Wagner, Coffman lead Royals to sweep

MANSFIELD — Madie Wagner had a combined for five hits, six RBIs, seven runs and three stolen bases as Wynford dominated a nonconference softball doubleheader at Mansfield Christian, 24-5 and 19-5, on Saturday. The Royals (5-6) asserted themselves right away with 11 runs in the first inning of the first game.

Blue Devils hold on to beat Eagles, 4-3

NORTH ROBINSON — The Carey baseball team hung on for a 4-3 victory against Colonel Crawford in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball game Saturday. The Blue Devils (11-0, 9-0 N10) scored twice in the third inning and once each in the fifth and sixth innings to take a 4-0 lead.

With seniors game, freshmen lead Mohawk

ARCADIA — With the seniors gone on their senior trip, Mohawk showed signs of a bright future from its freshman during a 16-0 nonconference baseball win against Arcadia on Saturday. Freshmen Trey Combs and Landen Snyder combined to throw a one-hitter, and Tyler Hayman had two hits, two RBIs and scored three runs.

Falcons girls 2nd in HN Invitational

DOLA — Riverdale’s girls were runner-up Saturday to Leipsic, 97-87, on Saturday in the Hardin Northern Invitational track and field meet. Tiffin Calvert edged Cory-Rawson, 82-74, for the boys title. The Falcons were eighth with 39 points.

Upper offense explodes in 15-4 win

BUCYRUS — Upper Sandusky exploded in the late innings to beat Bucyrus, 15-4, in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball game Friday. The Rams (7-6, 4-4 N10) scored once in the third inning, three times in the fourth inning, five times in the fifth inning and six times in the sixth inning.

Blowout win featured

CAREY — A 12-run inning, an inning in which all nine batters on the Carey softball team nearly batted around twice, set the tone for the Blue Devils’ latest victory. The Blue Devils also scored four runs in the second inning and two in the fourth on their way to an 18-2 victory over Buckeye Central on Friday at Water Works Park.
