BUCYRUS — Caity Schiefer shot a 43 to help the Wynford girls golf team remain undefeated in Northern 10 Athletic Conference play with a 207-232 victory against Colonel Crawford on Tuesday at The Golf Club of Bucyrus. Schiefer finished the day with five pars for a season-best score for the Royals (7-2, 4-0 N10).

BLUFFTON — Only two matches into the season, and the Riverdale volleyball team has equalled its win total from last year. After winning only once all of last year, the Falcons were winners in their second match this season, beating Bluffton, 21-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-22, on Monday night.

MILAN — Edison swept Upper Sandusky, 5-0, in girls tennis action Tuesday. In singles, Mariah Medina topped Jodi Smalley, 6-1, 6-4, in the No. 1 match, while at No. 2, Jayla Medina was a 6-0, 6-4 winner against Emma Schoenberger.

McComb swept the Upper Sandusky volleyball team, 25-21, 25-11, 25-18, to open the season Saturday. Sydney Stuckman led the Rams (0-1) offensively with six kills on 12-of-14 hitting, while Kenedi Hayden and Emily Hill had four kills each and Anna Johnson had three.

Jaidyn Thiel had a hat trick to lead Upper Sandusky to a 5-2 victory against Clyde to open the boys soccer season Saturday night. Luke Amert scored the other two goals for the Rams, who tallied three second-half goals to break a 2-2 tie at halftime.

Taylor Norris tied the school record for goals in a match, scoring five times as the Upper Sandusky girls soccer team blew out Clyde, 9-0, to open the season Saturday. Norris scored three times in the first half and twice in the first six minutes of the second half.
