Tryouts for the 2019 10U Upper Sandusky Travelers baseball team are 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 4 and 5 at Upper Sandusky High School. Sign-in is at 9:30 a.m.

The Ram Boosters once again will be hosting the annual Ram Rumble at 6 p.m. Aug. 8 at the Upper Sandusky High School Athletic complex to kick off the fall sports season. The USHS marching band and cheerleaders will perform while all USHS sports teams will be introduced.

BUCYRUS — The Bucyrus Area Football Association is hosting a football officiating class beginning July 23 at Bucyrus High School. The cost of the class is $75.

COLUMBUS — New OHSAA Executive Director Jerry Snodgrass has always had a love for sports, but where that passion started, and what he learned along the way, has stuck with him to this day. On May 4, the OHSAA Board of Directors announced that Snodgrass, an Upper Sandusky native and 1973 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School, would be the OHSAA’s next executive director.

GALION — Justin Brackenridge of Fairbanks and Pleasant’s Minoy Shah and Dinah Shah were the division winners in the final regular season Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association tournament held Monday at Valley View Golf Course.

BUCYRUS — The Bucyrus Softball Association will host a men’s and co-ed softball tournament in conjunction with the 51st annual Bratwurst Festival from Aug. 17-19. The three-day tournament will be played within the guidelines of the 2018 NSA rulebook unless otherwise noted.

The ninth grade AAU team sponsored by Donald M. Graham and Associates traveled to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, last week to compete in NTBA National Championships and finished 6-2 overall, winning the silver bracket championship.
