BLUFFTON — Hanna Breidenbach scored a pair of goals as Riverdale tied Bluffton, 2-2, in a nonconference girls soccer match Saturday night at Bluffton. Breidenbach scored with 21:08 left in the first half to give Riverdale (4-1-2) a 1-0 lead and scored with 20:54 remaining to tie the match.

TIFFIN — Despite missing its top runner, Upper Sandusky’s girls had the top team finish Saturday in the Tiffin Carnival cross country invitational. The Rams finished 14th with 401 points in Division II-B, which was won by Hathaway Brown with 35 points.

SPENCERVILLE — Carey freshman Sarah Reinhart won her second race of the season by taking first place in the Red Division of the Spencerville Invitational on Saturday. Reinhart finished in 20:39.6 to top runner-up Paige Boehringer of Covington by 17.5 seconds.

NORTH BALTIMORE — Led by Dylan Grothaus’ 89, Carey finished fifth Saturday in the North Baltimore Tiger Invitational at Birch Run Golf Course. The Blue Devils finished with a 375. Woodmore edged Patrick Henry for the team title, 353-357. Lake (363) and McComb (373) also finished ahead of Carey.

FREMONT — Carey split in a tri-match by losing to Oak Harbor, 25-17, 25-13, and beating Fremont Ross, 25-17, 27-25, on Saturday at Fremont Ross. McKenzie Row led the Blue Devils (3-6) with six kills against the Rockets (10-1).

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale played nearly even in shots but fell to Division III No. 9 Archbold, 3-0, in a home boys soccer match Saturday. The Blue Streaks (6-1) scored once in the first half and twice in the second half, getting goals from Elijah Zimmerman, Josh Kidder and Javier Peche.

In a game most likely circled by high school football historians with fond memories of the Northern Ohio League, former NOL members, Galion and Upper Sandusky, entered Friday’s nonconference football game undefeated, and looking to remain that way.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale showed last week what it could do with its ground game, running for 301 yards in a victory against Hardin Northern. On Friday night, the Falcons showed they could take to the air.

SYCAMORE — For three quarters, Gibsonburg’s red-zone defense kept the Warriors out of the end zone. Mohawk’s defense had also prevented the Golden Bears from scoring.

Allen East made it interesting early in the fourth quarter, but the Wynford football team made some big plays down the stretch to pull away for a 31-13 victory Friday night in a non-conference match-up.
