Senedot Stripes taking players

The Senedot Stripes began practices this week for all boys and girls from sixth through 12th grades interested in playing basketball. The program plans to put four separate teams on the floor in its first season — two varsity teams and two junior high teams, one each for boys and girls.

USHS reserve seats on sale

Upper to have parent meeting

Upper Sandusky High School and Upper Sandusky Middle School will be hosting a combined winter sports parent meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the USHS gym. Parents of all seventh through 12th grade winter sports athletes are expected to attend.

Mohawk to be top seed; Carey in with a win

Mohawk almost certainly will be the No. 1 seed in its football playoff region, while Carey is hoping to earn a spot in the postseason with a victory against Colonel Crawford this Friday night. Neither Wynford nor Riverdale are eliminated from postseason contention but their odds are longer.

ALCOA, Tenn. — Led by Katelynn Kinley’s sixth-place finish, the Capital University women’s golf team finished as runner-up in the Maryville College Fall Invitational to wrap up the fall season recently in Alcoa, Tenn. USMS runs in OHSAA Invite

LANCASTER — Upper Sandusky’s girls were fifth and the boys 12th in their divisions in the OHSAA Middle School/Junior High Invitational to wrap up the season Saturday at the Ohio University Lancaster campus. The girls finished fifth in Race 5, which was won by Pataskala Watkins.
