Clary signs to wrestle at Lourdes

The next chapter

There was no doubt in Upper Sandusky senior Noah Clary’s mind where he wanted to continue his wrestling and academic career, even as larger universities expressed interest in having him join their program. On Tuesday in the USHS library, Clary, surrounded by his coaches and parents, signed his national letter of intent to attend Lourdes University, a NAIA university that is a member of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference.

East teams win Fostoria all-star games, including girls at buzzer

FOSTORIA — It is a moment you can only dream of. While she would have preferred it be during the regular season, Tiffin Columbian’s Maddie Brisendine drilled a 3-pointer as time expired, lifting the East team to a 74-72 win over the West in the girls game in Sunday’s 46th annual East-West All-Star basketball game at Fostoria High School.

Dible named N10 player of the year; Dunn tabbed coach of the year

Upper Sandusky’s Jevon Dible was named the player of the year, and Mohawk coach Paul Dunn is the coach of the year on the All-Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys basketball team. Dible, a senior guard, led the N10 champion Rams in scoring (15.3 points per game), rebounding (6.4), assists (3.9) and steals (2.5). He shot 45.9 percent overall, including 34.6 percent on 3-pointers, and made 69.9 percent of his free throws.

BOWLING GREEN — The Mohawk boys basketball team’s players and coaches got together, clapped their hands and faced thousands of their fans who made the trip to Bowling Green State University’s Stohl Center, all of whom applauded them for the success they achieved this season.
