Wynford tops Crestline in dual

BUCYRUS — Kayleb Keaton medaled with a 41 to lead the Wynford boys golf team to a 182-207 victory against Crestline on Wednesday at The Golf Club of Bucyrus. Josh Crall was one stroke behind with a 42, while Aden Caldwell added a 47 and Nash Farrell a 52 for the Royals (1-2). Dylon Robinson and Thomas Weithman (60) also were in the lineup.

Brett Montgomery continued his medalist streak and led Upper Sandusky to a 162-205 victory against Ridgedale in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys golf match Wednesday at Lincoln Hills Golf Club. Montgomery shot a 1-under-par 35 and has been at least co-medalist in every match and invitational this season. He birdied No. 3 and shot par on each of the other eight holes.

Redskins edge Falcons 189-198

ARLINGTON — Andrew Kuenzli medaled with a 44 but it was not enough for Riverdale in a 189-198 golf loss to Arcadia on Wednesday at Sycamore Springs Golf Course. Trevor Hattery added a 49, while Rease Haley shot a 53 and Caleb Tracy added a 53 for the Falcons (5-6). Tyler Clark (55) and Ben Riddle (61) also participated.

Mansfield St. Peter’s scored a pair of goals in the first half and topped Upper Sandusky 2-0 in a girls soccer match Tuesday at Upper Sandusky. Sophie Tridico scored with 29:37 left in the first half, and 17 minutes later, Kiyah Wentz scored the match’s final goal.

Having run on the Carey girls track team, she was familiar with distance running, but wasn’t sure how she would do running a 5K in her first high school cross country meet at the Upper Sandusky Icebreaker Invitational on Tuesday at Harrison Smith Park.
