Upper runs away from SE with 6-run 6th inning

ATTICA — Upper Sandusky was no-hit until the sixth inning but held a lead throughout most of a 9-0 victory in Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball play Wednesday at Seneca East. The Rams (6-3, 5-0 N10) scored three times in the third inning without a hit, and then they strung together all seven of their hits in the game in the sixth to score six times.

Errors cost Falcons in costs to Redskins

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Arcadia used a five-run sixth inning to take a 6-2 victory against Riverdale in a Blanchard Valley Conference softball game Wednesday. The Redskins (4-2, 2-1 BVC) scored once in the third inning for an early lead.

Arcadia scores 9 in 2 innings in 10-4 win

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Arcadia scored four runs in the third inning and then five runs in the fourth to take a 10-4 victory at Riverdale in Blanchard Valley Conference baseball play Wednesday. Trailing 1-0, the Redskins (3-4, 1-1 BVC) scored without the aid of hit in the third inning.

Royals take down Eagles, 7-3

BUCYRUS — Wynford scored multiple runs in the second, third and fourth innings to take a 7-3 victory against Colonel Crawford in Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball action Tuesday. The Eagles (2-5, 0-3 N10) scored once in the first inning, but the Royals (5-2, 4-2 N10) took the lead with three runs in the second and then added to it with two in the third.

Falcons win with huge 2-out rally in 7th inning

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale used a huge two-out rally to push across five runs in the top of the seventh inning and take an 8-3 non-conference baseball victory Tuesday against Allen East. With the game tied at 3 and no one on base and two outs in the seventh, the Falcons began their string of runners.

Wyss shuts down Riverdale

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Allen East scored four runs in the third inning and took a 5-2 victory against Riverdale in non-conference softball action Tuesday. Allen East took a 1-0 lead after the second inning before their outburst in the third.

Games moved

There were no athletic events held in the area for the fifth straight day Monday with another full slate of postponements because of the weather. Upper Sandusky’s varsity baseball and softball games at Buckeye Central have been moved to Thursday.
