BUCYRUS — Mohawk is on a roll, and Wynford is in a funk. Both those things were obvious at times Tuesday evening in the Warrior’s 25-20, 25-13, 25-18 victory.

BUCYRUS — Things are all tied up at the top of the Northern 10 Athletic Conference golf standings after Ridgedale upset Mohawk, 167-169, on Tuesday at The Golf Club of Bucyrus. What was even more surprising is the Rockets (7-1, 5-1 N10) pulled the upset despite a round of 45 from N10 scoring leader Mitchill Reasoner.

CAREY — Chase Wagner shot a 38 to earn medalist honors and lead Carey to a 161-201 victory against Bucyrus in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference golf match Tuesday at Bob's Countryside Golf Course. Marcus Miller, Trey Bame and Alex Kimmet all shot 41s for the Blue Devils (10-1, 4-1 N10).

TIFFIN — Wynford was victorious in a girls tri-match Tuesday at Clinton Heights Golf Course. The Royals topped Seneca East, 207-244, while Mohawk competed but only had three players and could not score as a team.

Upper Sandusky’s freshman football team defeated Ashland Crestview, 30-26, on Tuesday. Curtis Smith scored on a 63-yard run for the Rams before the Cougars answered with a 75-yard run.

Brett Montgomery had a birdie and six pars on his way to a 38 to earn medalist honors and lead Upper Sandusky to a 174-202 victory against Bucyrus in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference golf match Wednesday at Lincoln Hills Golf Club.

VAN BUREN — Riverdale scored twice in the final nine minutes to earn a 2-2 draw against Van Buren in its North Central Ohio Soccer Association opener Wednesday.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale forced a fourth set but could not push it to five in a 25-14, 25-18, 22-25, 25-21 loss to Hopewell-Loudon to open Blanchard Valley Conference play Wednesday night.

TIFFIN — Sierra Carey assisted on all three goals, including two by Megan Hensel in the Upper Sandusky girls soccer team’s 3-0 victory against Tiffin Columbian on Wednesday.

NEW WASHINGTON — Trey Bame shot a 1-over-par 36 to lead Carey to a 157-188 victory against Buckeye Central in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference golf match Wednesday at Cranberry Hills Golf Course.
