SYCAMORE — Mohawk found offensive production in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings of an 8-2 win over Bucyrus in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball game Friday.

SYCAMORE — The Mohawk softball team has tried a number of different lineups, but Coach Bo Trusty has found one he likes pretty well — and it seems to be working. Scoring at least once in each inning, the Warriors continued their recent hot hitting with a 10-0 victory in five innings against Crestline in a Division IV sectional final game Thursday.

Dilley, Hensel lead Rams at tennis sectionals

LEXINGTON — Upper Sandusky’s Turner Dilley and Nate Hensel won a doubles match and advanced to play for a district berth at Division II boys tennis sectionals in Lexington on Thursday. Early matches were played indoors at Lakewood Racquet Club due to rain Thursday morning.

Galion uses small ball to come away with 9-0 win over Wynford

GALION — Small ball paid some big dividends for Galion in its 9-0 Division III sectional semifinal win against Wynford on Wednesday. The Tigers’ top two hitters in their lineup had two bunt singles each in the first two innings and turned them into runs as Galion built an early 6-0 lead after two innings.
