SYCAMORE — On Saturday, Colonel Crawford did not respond well to a second-half pressure situation in a lost to Carey. The Eagles perhaps learned a lesson and applied it in a 51-43 victory at Mohawk on Friday night.

PANDORA — Pandora-Gilboa dominated Riverdale 62-27 in a Blanchard Valley Conference boys basketball game Friday. The Rockets (2-1, 1-0 BVC) led 15-4 after one quarter, 31-15 at halftime and 49-22 after three quarters.

FOREST — Trinity United Church of Christ of McCutchenville defeated Wharton First Church of God, 3-2 and 6-5 before losing the finale on Thursday night in Wyandot County Church Dartball play.

BASCOM — Through the first half, Riverdale matched Hopewell-Loudon shot for shot in a Blanchard Valley Conference girls basketball game Thursday night. But a lull by the Falcons in the beginning of the third allowed the Chieftains to pull away, and a bevy of second-chance buckets helped them hold on for a 61-53 victory.

SYCAMORE — Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church A swept Sycamore United Church of Christ, 4-1, 11-4 and 5-0, to open Wyandot County Church Dartball play Thursday night.

SYCAMORE — The Mohawk eighth grade boys basketball team defeated Tiffin Calvert, 39-36, on Thursday. Austin Tusing, Trey Combs and Landen Snyder had 13 points apiece for the Warriors.

SYCAMORE — The Mohawk Warrior and Little Warrior Wrestling Tournament is 10 a.m. Saturday at Mohawk. The dual format high school tournament also features Carey, Gibsonburg, Northwood, Indian Lake and Van Buren.
