MOUNT BLANCHARD — Gabi Rodriguez and Reygan Frey each scored two goals as Riverdale defeated Mansfield Senior, 6-1, in a girls soccer match Saturday night. Alex Rothlisberger and Faith Williams had one goal each.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Jacob Williams scored at the 16:02 mark in the second half to give Continental a 1-0 boys soccer victory against Riverdale on Saturday night. The Pirates (7-2) took nine shots on goal, with Ethan Shane saving eight of them.

Oler’s 16 kills lead Warriors past Redskins

ARCADIA — Destini Oler hammered 16 kills as Mohawk defeated Arcadia, 25-16, 25-10, 23-25, 25-20, in a non-conference volleyball match Saturday. Madi Chester also had a strong match with six aces and 13 digs, and Emily Conner had eight kills and four blocks.

Carey controls line in win over Mohawk

SYCAMORE — Carey coach Todd Worst’s theory is that a team has to be able to run the football in order to win. That philosophy proved true Friday night as the Blue Devils rushed for almost 300 yards while holding rival Mohawk to 151 in a 33-14 victory.

Upper Sandusky has enjoyed an uptick in its offense since it changed schemes a few games ago. The Rams, who began the season 1-5 while running a 6-2 rotation, with two setters and six attackers, since have gone to a 5-1 rotation, with five attackers around full-time setter Lucy Smith.

Warriors win to stay tied for 1st in league

Chet Margraf shot a 38 to run away with medalist honors as Mohawk topped Buckeye Central, 179-205, in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference golf match Thursday at Lincoln Hills Golf Club. With the victory, the Warriors finish the regular season with a 7-1 N10 record for 14 points, the same as Carey and Ridgedale, leaving Tuesday’s league tournament to determine the champion.
