FREMONT — Balanced on offense as always, Mohawk took a 26-28, 25-7, 25-23, 25-13 non-conference victory at Fremont St. Joseph on Thursday night. Destini Oler and Addie Thiery each finished with 11 kills, while Kaylee Ward was one behind with 10.

Blue Devils sweep Tigers

ATTICA — Carey won a close first set and earned a sweep to conclude Northern 10 Athletic Conference play with a 26-24, 25-14, 25-21 victory Thursday night at Seneca East. The one set — the second — that was not close went back and forth until freshman Emma Wagner came up to serve.

Buckeye Central goes 16-0

NEW WASHINGTON — Buckeye Central completed a perfect run through the Northern 10 Athletic Conference with a 25-8, 25-11, 25-14 victory against Wynford on Thursday night. After rolling through the first set, the Bucks used a 10-0 run early in the second set to take control.

Edison edges Upper, 1-0

MILAN — Edison scored its lone goal in the first half of a 1-0 girls soccer victory over Upper Sandusky in both teams’ final match of the regular season. Savanna Smith headed in a rebound with 9:28 remaining in the half after Piper Nickoli’s shot was saved by Kate Ritchey.

Wynford rolls to sweep of Upper Sandusky

BUCYRUS — The improvements the Wynford volleyball team has made since the first half of the season may not be evident in its record, but they were obvious Tuesday night. The Royals dominated nearly every facet of the match in taking a 25-19, 25-17, 25-15 victory against Upper Sandusky on Volley for the Cure night.

Kin’s 16 kills, 16 digs lead Carey past Buckeyes

BUCYRUS — Sydney Kin had 16 kills, 16 digs and six blocks to lead Carey to a 25-16, 25-12, 25-17 victory against Bucyrus on Tuesday night. Kin was 32-of-36 hitting, while Hannah Zimmerman went 22-of-25 hitting with seven kills for the Blue Devils (15-6, 11-4 Northern 10 Athletic Conference).

Warriors sweep Redmen to clinch 2nd place in league

SYCAMORE — Mohawk clinched second place in the Northern 10 Athletic Conference with a 25-9, 25-14, 25-21 victory against Ridgedale on Tuesday night. Buckeye Central (20-1, 15-0 N10) is the league champion, with Mohawk (17-4, 13-3 N10) now assured of finishing ahead of Carey (15-6, 11-4 N10) for second.
