Blue Devils blow out Bucks, 17-3

NEW WASHINGTON — Eight different Carey players scored in the first inning, and those eight players all scored again in the third inning of a 17-3 victory at Buckeye Central in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball game Friday.

Aicholz, Seneca East shut out Upper

ATTICA — Zach Aichholz gave up just three hits without a walk in six innings as Seneca East remained perfect in the Northern 10 Athletic Conference with a 4-0 victory against Upper Sandusky on Friday. The Tigers (13-1, 8-0 N10) scored three times in the second inning and once in the third.

Rams roll past Redmen, 13-3

Upper Sandusky scored seven times in the second inning and rolled to a six-inning 13-3 victory against Bucyrus in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball game Thursday. The Rams (8-8, 6-2 N10) led 1-0 when they went off in the second inning.

Mohawk girls win Bucyrus MS Invite

BUCYRUS — Mohawk’s girls took first place, and Upper Sandusky was third Thursday in the Bucyrus Middle School Invitational. The Warriors scored 116 points, while Colonel Crawford topped Upper Sandusky, 80.5-70.5, for second.

Mohawk’s Cook shuts out Wynford, 2-0

SYCAMORE — The Warriors worked a couple of runs across, and Wyatt Cook kept Wynford quiet. Mohawk won a rain-delayed, rain-shortened game, 2-0 in six innings, Wednesday to complete a sweep of the defending Northern 10 Athletic Conference champions. The Warriors (12-1, 8-1 N10) are on an 11-game win streak.

SYCAMORE — Three strikes and you’re out. Mother Nature struck out the Mohawk and Wynford softball teams when a third weather delay forced the postponement of their Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball game with Mohawk leading 5-0 after four innings.

Riverdale’s Pauley signs with Ashland
