Mohawk unable to sustain fast start against Crawford

SYCAMORE — Mohawk got off to a quick start, but Colonel Crawford slowly took over in a 51-34 victory in Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys basketball action Saturday night. The Warriors (3-8, 2-7 N10) led 11-6 after one quarter, and the teams were tied at 17 at halftime before the Eagles (10-4, 7-2 N10) found their mark offensively.

CAREY — The Blue Devils girls basketball team continues to roll. Carey made quick work of short-handed Wynford at home Friday, 57-23, to improve to 13-0 (11-0 Northern 10 Athletic Conference). It stretched its first-half lead with an 18-3 run and held the Royals to single digits in each quarter.

Upper Sandusky defeats Bucyrus, Willard

Upper Sandusky won easily in a pair of wrestling matches Wednesday, defeating Bucyrus, 50-24, and Willard, 44-6. All of the Redmen’s points came via forfeit, and the Crimson Flashes managed only a pair of victories by decision.
