HOJGA taking sign-ups now

MARION — The Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association urges golfers ages 9-18 who reside in Crawford, Delaware, Hardin, Marion, Morrow, Union and Wyandot counties to sign up now for camp and seven tournaments scheduled in June and July.

Riverdale youth travel soccer seeks players

Trap shoots for youth set

SYCAMORE — The Wyandot County Pheasants Forever and Rogers Lake Conservation Club are sponsoring free youth trap shoots for boys and girls 18 and younger at 6 p.m. June 15, June 29 and July 13 at Rogers Lake, 1748 Ohio 103, Sycamore.

Boys soccer camp to be held June 19-22

Registration is being taken now for Upper Sandusky High School boys soccer camp June 19-22. The camp runs from 9-10:30 a.m. for boys entering first through fourth grades and from 10:30 a.m. to noon for boys entering fifth through eighth grades.

State has been goal since 2016 regional final loss

CAREY — When the Blue Devils take the field at Akron’s Firestone Stadium for the Division IV softball state championship game Thursday, they will be rocking new ’dos. Carey’s players will follow through on a wager they made last season when they lost on the doorstep of state, and dye the tips of their hair purple for the state tournament.
