Upper Sandusky High School is searching for an assistant baseball coach and an assistant swimming coach for the 2017-18 school year. Upper Sandusky Middle School will waive the admission fee to today’s volleyball game against Mohawk for all attendees who bring items to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey. Accepted items include safety glasses, work gloves, flashlights, batteries (any size), cleaning supplies, packs of diapers, baby wipes, baby food, soap, deodorant, can openers and eating utensils.

TIFFIN — The Best of the Best Basketball Fall League will run from Sunday through Oct. 15. The league will feature fourth-grade through high-school divisions.

The Northern 10 Athletic Conference has established its athletic ticket price schedule for the 2017-18 school year. Varsity contests will cost $6 for adults and $5 for kindergarten through 12th-grade students.

BUCYRUS — Upper Sandusky’s top boys cross country runners like to go at about the same pace. Led by Andrew Kurtz in seventh in 19:15.65 and Troy Mawer in eighth in 19:17.61, the Rams were the top boys team in the Wynford Invitational on Tuesday.

SYCAMORE — Wynford has shown at times this year that it can play with the best teams of the area, but Mohawk did not let that happen Tuesday night. The Warriors went on big runs and rolled past the Royals, 25-11, 25-13, 25-14.

Lupe Landaverde scored five goals as Upper Sandusky ran away with its first win of the season, 9-0 over Galion on Tuesday. Jaidyn Thiel had a hat trick, and Gabe Baker scored a goal for the Rams (1-5-1).

BUCYRUS — Wynford’s Logen Sand matched the defending Northern 10 Athletic Conference player of the year, but the Rams were better throughout the rest of the lineup in a 184-195 victory against the Royals on Tuesday in an N10 golf match.

BUCYRUS — Marcus Miller shot a 41 to earn medalist honors and lead undefeated Carey to a 186-228 victory against Bucyrus in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys golf match Tuesday at The Golf Club of Bucyrus. Trey Bame added a 45, Ethan Tanner had a 49, and McKain Miller scored a 51 for the Blue Devils (8-0, 6-0 N10).

ATTICA — Upper Sandusky built a two-set lead and then held on to top Seneca East in five sets, 25-21, 25-20, 18-25, 20-25, 16-14, in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball match Tuesday night. Anna Johnson led the Rams (2-5, 2-2 N10) with 11 kills on 26-of-29 hitting, and Lillie Orians had nine kills on 28-of-31 hitting.
