Wynford sweeps Crestline

CRESTLINE — Macey Zinser had nine kills and five aces to lead Wynford to a 25-14, 25-21, 25-20 victory against Crestline on Monday. Bailey Alspach was a perfect 30-for-30 serve receiving.

Arlington gets win vs. Wynford to open season

BUCYRUS — Arlington edged Wynford in the second and third sets to take a 25-14, 25-23, 25-23 sweep in Jamee Burke’s first match as varsity coach to open the volleyball season Saturday. Addy Lafferty led the Red Devils (1-0) with six kills, Olivia Griggs and Kylie Rausch had five each, and Sarah Solt finished with four.

WSHOF golf outing women’s winners

The Wyandot Sports Hall of Fame held its annual golf outing to benefit its scholarship fund Saturday at Bob’s Countryside Golf Course. The women’s winners were (from left) Jenny Weaver, Jen Spitler, Connie Frank and Vikki Bell.

Clyde pulls away in 2nd half

CLYDE — Three different players scored two times each in the second half as Clyde turned a scoreless halftime game into a 6-0 runaway victory against Upper Sandusky in a boys soccer opener Saturday. Kyle Baker got the Fliers (1-0) on the board less than two minutes into the second half and scored only 15 seconds later to make it 2-0.

McComb rallies past Upper in 5

McCOMB — Upper Sandusky was unable to close out McComb and dropped its season-opening volleyball match, 25-19, 19-25, 23-25, 27-25, 15-11, on Saturday. The Rams (0-1) held a 2-1 sets lead on the Panthers and had a chance to close out the match in the fourth set before McComb rallied.
