An Upper Sandusky woman reported losing approximately $1,000 after sending online checks in what became an online scam the morning of March 31. The officer attempted to contact the numbers used to contact the woman.

A 22-year-old Marion woman called the sheriff’s office the afternoon of April 14 to report that her grandfather was blocking the driveway to his Salem Township home with his truck, refusing to let her leave the residence where she had been staying.

A deputy responded to a call for an unruly juvenile at a residence in the 30 block of TH 62, Antrim Township, early the morning of April 12. An Antrim Township woman reported three flatscreen televisions were taken from her former residence in the 18000 block of Ohio 231 early the morning of April 12.

Matthew R. Giesey, Fostoria, was arrested on a warrant out of Wyandot County Juvenile Court the night of April 8 for community control violations. Mark A. Radford, address unknown, was arrested for no operator’s license and cited for speed on U.S. 23 near Ohio 199 North the night of April 8.

A Wharton woman reported her tablet was missing from her residence in the 100 block of East Sandusky Street the afternoon of April 5. Deputies responded to a call for an unruly juvenile in the 200 block of West 10th Street in Sycamore the evening of April 5.

The Carey Volunteer Fire Department extinguished an SUV engine fire on Ohio 15 near TH 95, Ridge Township, the night of April 3. The driver reported he observed smoke coming from the engine, so he pulled over and opened the hood, and flames shot out of the engine.

Matthew G. Lee, Fort Worth, Texas, was arrested for physical control and cited for possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle the afternoon of April 2 after a caller reported two individuals throwing empty beer cans out of a truck with Texas plates parked at a pond on private property near CH 108 and CH 47, Salem Township.

Cheryl A. Chaffee, Sycamore, was cited for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and failure to control after a single-vehicle crash on Ohio 67 near milepost 29 early the morning of April 1. Her blood-alcohol content level was .199 percent, more than two times the .08 legal limit to drive in Ohio.
