Safety Blotter: December 7, 2015

Officers assisted Upper Sandusky Emergency Medical Services on Nov. 16 with a patient in the 400 block of Glen Haven Road. A caller reported the evening of Nov. 16 that she believed she left her debit card in an ATM in the 100 block of East Wyandot Avenue.

USPD responds to calls for service

A verbal domestic dispute was reported the morning of Nov. 14 in the 800 block of Shields Drive. Cassandra G. Sackman, Nevada, was cited for license plate light required following a traffic stop on southbound U.S. 23 the evening of Nov. 14.

Sheriff’s office releases Nov. reports

Michael J. Ott, Columbus, was arrested the evening of Nov. 27 for operating a vehicle while intoxicated (heroin) and possession of drug abuse instruments and cited with failure to control following a single-vehicle non-injury crash in the 4000 block of Ohio 231, Sycamore.

Police make stops, assist with wild animals

Randy D. Blanton III, Tiffin, was warned for a stop sign violation and insufficient exhaust following a traffic stop the morning of Nov. 11 in the 800 block of North Sandusky Street. A caller reported a sick opossum was laying in a front yard in the 500 block of Betty Lou Street the morning of Nov. 11.

Safety Blotter: December 3, 2015

Laura M. Oliver, Findlay, was warned for a stop sign violation the evening of Nov. 9 following a traffic stop on North Sandusky Avenue at Tarhe Trail. An officer transported a subject from Wyandot Memorial Hospital to the 100 block of Essex Way and turned her over to her waiting son-in-law the evening of Nov. 9.

Safety Blotter: December 2, 2015

A caller in the 300 block of West Finley Street requested officers perform a welfare check on a man she had been arguing with the previous evening early the morning of Nov. 9. Officers made contact with the man, who stated everything was fine.

Safety Blotter: November 30, 2015

Angelique E. Coleman, Marion, was warned for two headlights required following a traffic stop at the intersection of South Eighth and South streets the morning of Nov. 6. Eli P. Kinley, Upper Sandusky, was cited for improper backing and as a juvenile offender after a hit-skip accident in the 100 block of Comfort Lane the morning of Nov. 6.

Safety Blotter: November 28, 2015

William M. Lucas III, New Bern, North Carolina, was cited for speed and possession of marijuana and possession of an open container of alcohol in a vehicle following a traffic stop early the morning of Nov. 21 on northbound U.S. 23 near CH 74. A passenger in the vehicle Walter M. Lucas IV, Lexington, North Carolina, was cited for open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
