Louise Moon Franklin, of Wellington, died unexpectedly of natural causes Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015 at her residence. Local surviving relatives include Ms. Franklin’s aunt, Jean Moon, and cousin, Linda Holbrook.

COLUMBUS — Michael Ivan Thiel died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015. He was 67. Born July 6, 1949, he was a son of Helen Thiel, who survives, and the late Ivan Thiel.

TIFFIN — Mary D. Lykens, of Tiffin, died Tuesday morning, Jan. 5, 2016 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center. She was 97.

Bruce Jay Shrider, of Huron, died at his residence and was found by two of his sons Saturday, Dec. 26, 2015. He was 63.

Rosanna Marie Turner Riggs, of Vinton, died Monday, Jan. 4, 2016 at Holzer Assisted Living, Gallipolis. She was 88.

COLUMBUS — Michael Ivan Thiel died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015. He was 67.

Audrey L. Alspach, of Upper Sandusky, died Monday, Jan. 4, 2016 at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 89. Born Sept. 21, 1926 in Carey, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Maude (Lupton) Donelson. She married Hugh L. “Luke” Alspach on Dec. 1, 1945 in Greenup, Kentucky, and he died Jan. 27, 1997.

MARION — Linda Darlene Messmer, of Marion, died Monday, Jan. 4, 2016 at Genesis Presidential Care Center, Marion. She was 66. Born Sept. 26, 1929 in Marion, she was a daughter of the late John and Priscilla (Woods) Harris. She married Myron Joseph Messmer on July 27, 1974, and he died Jan. 24, 1993.
