An officer on patrol discovered an open storage door on the 100 block of North Sandusky Avenue the early morning of July 26. Safety blotter: July 26, 2019 An officer assisted the Upper Sandusky Fire Department with a fire alarm at Fairhaven Community the early morning of July 25 until he was no longer needed. The Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office reported a private property accident at Speedway West the early morning of July 25. A semi trailer struck a parking pole. Digital photos were taken of the damage and placed on an incident drive. Read More
Safety blotter: July 25, 2019 Officers assisted the Upper Sandusky Fire Department with an alarm at First Citizen’s National Bank the morning of July 24. No fire was present, but a fire alarm had been pulled. An Upper Sandusky woman reported the theft of a car battery on the 100 block of Evergreen Lane the afternoon of July 24. Neighbors told the responding officer they did not observe anyone tampering with the vehicle. Read More

The woman was advised to keep an eye on her accounts in case her information was used and a report was filed. Read More
Safety blotter: July 23, 2019 An Upper Sandusky woman reported an unruly runaway juvenile on the 200 block of East Johnson Street the early morning of July 22. The juvenile was found across the street with a friend and a report was forwarded to the juvenile prosecutor. Read More
Safety Blotter: July 22, 2019 An officer assisted Wyandot County EMS with a medical alarm on the 100 block of River Street the early morning of July 19. An Upper Sandusky woman had accidentally tripped her alert button while sleeping. A Harpster man reported a hit/skip accident on the 100 block of North Sandusky Avenue the morning of July 19. The man said he was calling in case the other party reported the accident and said he would fix a rear corner light on his vehicle himself. Read More

Safety blotter: July 18, 2019 Officers responded to a dispute over property on South Seventh Street the early morning of July 17. Two parties agreed on a time and date to exchange a house key for personal property. A caller reported a suspicious male with a group of females on Indian Mill Drive behind the Wyandot County Fairgrounds the afternoon of July 17. The responding officers located the subjects in the parking lot of Wyandot Memorial Hospital, and the subjects advised they were heading to the splash pad at Bicentennial Park and that no one was doing anything wrong.
