SYCAMORE — Nearly 25 people filled the Sycamore Village Council room Tuesday evening to witness the swearing in of a new fire chief. Rod Clinger was sworn in as chief and spent little time soaking in the promotion before getting to work and speaking with council on the happenings of the department.

CAREY — Carey Exempted Village Schools Board of Education members approved a memorandum of understanding with the Ohio Department of Transportation to develop a school travel plan, a key step in applying for a Safe Routes to School grant, during their regular meeting Monday.
