Nevada to have holiday parade Dec. 4

NEVADA — Plans are in place for a holiday parade to be held at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 4, council member Crystal Smith said during Monday night’s council meeting. Smith said between 15-20 groups have committed to say they will take part in the parade, which will feature Santa and Mrs. Claus and will travel through downtown to the park, where a Christmas tree lighting ceremony will be held.

Cases tried in municipal court

Deja R. Johnson, Westland, Michigan, charged by the patrol with possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, pleaded no contest, finding deferred on conditions. Jatia L. Green, Columbus, charged by the sheriff with child endangerment in a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, continued to Nov. 17.
