CAREY — Forty-six Carey students were rewarded with district awards at the recent DECA District 3 Competitive Events Conference at Ohio Northern University. Of those 46, 34 qualified for the upcoming state DECA competition. “This is a very large number of state DECA qualifiers from district competition,” Carey DECA adviser Derek Cunningham said.

AMES, Iowa — National Farmers Organization members voted in favor of agricultural policy positions at the organization’s 2017 Convention in Springfield, Missouri, on Jan. 26. CAREY — Carey school board members toured a new athletic facility adjacent to the school following a regular meeting Monday night. The facility includes locker rooms, ticket and concessions booths, a weight room, a fitness area and a second level with additional storage space.

An Upper Sandusky man was injured in a fight outside Rosebud Tavern early Saturday morning. Upper Sandusky Police Chief David Olds said officers responded to a report of two individuals fighting outside the bar at about 3:10 a.m. Saturday.
