Prosecutor: Sex assault cases ‘ignored’

CLEVELAND (AP) — Assistant prosecutors in Cleveland “ignored” about 70 rape and sexual assault cases involving juvenile suspects and victims and failed to determine if criminal charges should be filed, the new Cuyahoga County prosecutor said Tuesday. Carey qualifies 34 for state DECA competition

CAREY — Forty-six Carey students were rewarded with district awards at the recent DECA District 3 Competitive Events Conference at Ohio Northern University. Of those 46, 34 qualified for the upcoming state DECA competition. “This is a very large number of state DECA qualifiers from district competition,” Carey DECA adviser Derek Cunningham said.

Carey BOE tours athletic facility

CAREY — Carey school board members toured a new athletic facility adjacent to the school following a regular meeting Monday night. The facility includes locker rooms, ticket and concessions booths, a weight room, a fitness area and a second level with additional storage space.
