Wyandot County families that missed a chance to sign up for the Rotary Club’s Good Egg program have another chance to get free Easter clothes and goodies for their children. The Rotary Club has extended the registration deadline to March 17.

Upper Sandusky police seized 10 pounds of marijuana, more than $2,300 in cash and items believed to be used in distribution during a routine traffic stop Thursday afternoon. The drugs have an estimated street value of $23,000. police said.

A Bloomington, Illinois man pleaded guilty to three felony charges Thursday in Wyandot County Common Pleas Court. Alek B. Wall, 27, pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree abusing harmful intoxicants felony charge, first-degree aggravated possession of drugs felony charge and a fourth-degree failure to appear felony charge.

The Wyandot County Board of Commissioners recently hired a new full-time maintenance assistant. David Kitzler recently will start work Monday, earning $13 per hour for 40 hours per week. After 90 days, a $1 raise will be implemented into the bi-weekly pay schedule.

A McCutchenville woman came on station the morning of Feb. 20 wishing to file a theft charge, as her deceased father’s gun was taken by his former girlfriend. It was determined to be a civil matter.

A Sycamore woman who pleaded guilty to grand theft in January was sentenced to 30 days in the Wyandot County Jail and ordered to pay restitution of $10,000 on Wednesday in Wyandot County Common Pleas Court. Kisha J. Taylor, 34, was sentenced for the fourth-degree felony after admitting to stealing from the Wyandot County Agricultural Society from November 2013 to April 2016 during her employment as fair board secretary, according to the Wyandot County Prosecutor’s Office investigation report.

A Carey man pleaded guilty to a fourth-degree felony charge of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor Wednesday in Wyandot County Common Pleas Court. Alec M. Tiell, 20, admitted to having sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl when he was 19 years old.
