The big gold bus stopped Tuesday night for a break after an exhausting day of travel from Marion, where it had stayed in the Once Upon a Child parking lot the night before. Everett Smith and John McKay each had ran about 13 miles earlier in the day. One ran down Old Lincoln Highway, while the other one drove ahead and waited for him.

Two arrested for asphalt scam

Two men were arrested Tuesday after an asphalt scam was reported to the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office by a Harpster man. Mike Stanley, of Springfield, and Dennison T. Sprague, Mount Holly, New Jersey, were arrested due to an investigation and charges in several other counties.

Movies return to MPT big screen

MARION — Marion Palace Theatre management recently announced the return of movies to the big screen. The family action adventure film “Max” will be the first movie to use digital cinema projection at the theatre and will be shown on July 24-26.
