A combined bond for the new Wyandot County Emergency Medical Services and Emergency Management Agency building and county garage building recently was sold. The rate for the bond was locked in at a 2.299-percent interest rate over 10 years.

Three Upper Sandusky police officers are in the running to be the department’s next chief. Capt. Dan Ross and officers Allen Foust and Roger Hetzel applied for the vacant chief’s job, city Councilman Bill Thornton announced during Monday’s safety committee meeting.

Local artists will showcase their work during an exhibit Sunday afternoon at the home of Upper Sandusky art teacher Bonnie Wolfe. Wolfe has been teaching art to people of all ages for more than 25 years.

Zachary D. Young, Upper Sandusky, was transported to the correctional reception center in Orient to begin a 57-month prison term the morning of May 11. Young was found guilty of three counts of burglary and two counts of grand theft.

Tyrone L. Taylor, Delaware, charged by the Carey police with obstruction of official business, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia, pleaded guilty, found guilty.
