Area businesses in buildings more than 50 years old may have an opportunity to earn tax credits for future improvements. Representatives from Ohio History Connection and the Ohio Development Services Agency visited the Wyandot County Chamber of Commerce on Monday morning as part of a Historical Tax Credit Coffee tour through Northwest Ohio.

MARION — A Marion woman was pronounced dead on the scene after a one-vehicle crash in Marion Township early this morning. Two young kids suffered non-life threatening injuries as a result of the crash.

After 18 years in historical building restoration, Adam Obenour and his wife Heather got a chance to open up their own restoration company. They quickly landed a couple of projects to keep them busy into their first summer. Cornerstone Historical Building Restoration currently is handling renovations at the Wyandot County Museum.

Shannon Mullholand and her husband Drew recently built a gym to move Shannon’s growing personal training business out of their basement.

Each year during income tax season, the Bucyrus and Upper Sandusky offices of Mizick Miller & Co. hosts Saturday “dress down” days. The cost to the staff to “dress down” is a donation to a non-profit organization in which the staff has collectively chosen.

Three students from the Upper Sandusky FFA traveled on an eight-day trip to Honduras to learn about the Honduran culture and to help teach vocational students about agriculture.

Carey High School graduate Carley Coppler recently made history for Carey FFA being elected to serve as an Ohio FFA state officer. Coppler is the first Carey FFA member to be elected to serve as one of the 11 state officers.

REYNOLDSBURG — A team representing the Wynford FFA chapter recently took second place at the 2017 Ohio Envirothon competition June 12-13 at Ohio Christian University. The team of Luke Scott, Aaron Hand, Ethan Stuckey, Annika Gerlach, Kymber Sand and Kathy Bash competed against 19 other teams after winning the Area 1 Envirothon Contest in May.
