An additional tax for the Wyandot County Board of Developmental Disabilities will be on the November general election ballot. The Wyandot County Board of Commissioners approved a resolution for a 1.5-mill additional tax Tuesday.

HARPSTER — Two men were hospitalized after a crash involving a semi truck and a motorized bicycle late Thursday night on U.S. 23 near Ohio 294, according to the Bucyrus Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

“Annie” is heading into its final weekend of performances at the Star Theatre in downtown Upper Sandusky. The musical tells the story of little orphan Annie and her escape from Miss Hannigan and life in an orphanage to finding love and a forever family with Daddy Warbucks and Grace Farrell.

First Baptist Church of Upper Sandusky, 590 Houpt Drive, will host its Fireworks Festival from 6-9 p.m. Saturday. The free festival includes carnival games, face painting and an inflated obstacle course.

BUCYRUS — The Crawford Theatre Company will present the Andrew Lloyd Weber musical “CATS” at 8 p.m. July 7 and 8 and 2 p.m. July 9 at the new Crawford Theatre located at MB Subculture, 1715 Marion Road in Bucyrus. The location is the former Capital Cinemas at the Southern Lights Shopping Center.

MARION — “The Wizard of Oz,” complete with special effects, stunning choreography and an Oscar-winning score, will kick off the Marion Palace Theatre’s season with shows at 7:30 p.m. July 8, 14 and 15 and 2 p.m. July 9 and 16. Under the direction of Clare Cooke, “The Wizard of Oz” was staged in 2007, drawing near sellout crowds.

An employee of an Upper Sandusky gun manufacturer has pleaded not guilty to felony weapons charges in a case in which police say they found two loaded handguns and a glass pipe with marijuana in a car he was driving during a traffic stop.
