KENTON — Northwestern Ohio is seeing full implementation of Ohio’s Agricultural Fertilizer Applicator Certification regulation, which was result of Senate Bill 150, which was co-sponsored by former State Sen. Cliff Hite. The 2014 regulation required farmers to complete a fertilizer certification program if they applied fertilizer to more than 50 acres of land in agricultural production primarily for sale.

Construction continues for Kimmel Corporation’s planned expansion in downtown Upper Sandusky. The city approved an alley vacancy and enterprise zone agreement earlier this year and construction began in mid-October.
