Chocolate Walk supports Open Door

Ready for chocolate

Children and adults alike sauntered through downtown Upper Sandusky Wednesday for the second annual Chocolate Walk in support of Open Door Resource Center. All ages were welcome to participate in the Chocolate Walk. Each participant was given a chocolate pass, a bag for candy and a map of the 24 participating businesses and locations.

The cap was placed on top of the memorial for the Wyandot County Infirmary Cemetery recently. The final steps for the memorial will be to pour the concrete pad, place four benches and add three bronze plaques to the memorial.

One of Upper Sandusky’s institutions is celebrating its 25-year anniversary next week. East of Chicago Pizza in Upper Sandusky will have several special offers available to customers on Oct. 4. “We’re giving away free pizza for a year, one large pizza per month for 12 months,” East of Chicago Regional Manager Connie Smith said.
