The Wyandot Classics and Cruisers made a massive $25,500 donation to Hospice of Wyandot County following a banquet Thursday evening at Fairhaven Community. The money was raised from the 2018 Autumn Cruise in Upper Sandusky.

The Upper Sandusky Community Library has a 1.4-mill renewal levy on the ballot Nov. 6. The levy is a renewal for property owners in the Upper Sandusky Exempted Village School District and is not a new tax. USCL Director Kathleen Whitt has been making the rounds to discuss the levy and what it funds, most recently speaking Wednesday at the town hall and Thursday afternoon at the Wyandot County Council on Aging.

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in cooperation with Operation Medicine Cabinet. Area residents are asked to turn in their unused or expired medication for safe disposal.

Just wanted to take a moment to ask your readers to consider voting for Ron Metzger in the upcoming election for Wyandot County commissioner. After being blessed to work with Ron over the past six years at the courthouse, I wholeheartedly endorse this fine man for commissioner.

The Wyandot County Safety Council is one of more than 80 across the state that partners with the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation to promote the importance of workplace safety. We at the BWC work closely with the council and member employers in Wyandot County and we are always impressed.

I am writing this letter to the editor to show my support for the Wyandot County Council on Aging. My family utilized its transportation services for medical care. It was such a relief to have a wheelchair-accessible van to transport Glen VanHorn to dialysis and for cancer treatments in his own wheelchair.
