Upper Sandusky was visited Thursday by Keith Faber, the Republican candidate for state auditor. Faber, a current state representative and former president of the Ohio senate, is running against Democrat Zack Space in the Nov. 6 election.

The White Shutter Winery and Brewery hosted a celebrity bartending event Thursday in support of United Way of Wyandot County. Recently I addressed the Upper Sandusky Service Committee about the installation of new sidewalks and repairing present sidewalks in Upper Sandusky. I inquired how the new sidewalks that are being installed along East Wyandot Avenue and the Brookview locations were decided.

I read with amusement the letter to the editor last week by Bill Clinger concerning county commissioner Ron Metzger. According to Clinger, Metzger is a fine man, a hard worker and a faithful husband and father.

The Upper Sandusky High School drama department will present “Once Upon A High School.” Favorite fairy-tale characters have their world turned upside down as they get a fresh taste of reality.

TIFFIN — With the theme “Life is a Celebration,” the 50-member University-Community Chorus will perform its annual fall concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at First Lutheran Church. Conductor Dr. Greg Ramsdell has planned a program that underscores the role of the chorus as storytellers.
