Upper Sandusky Exempted Village School District said goodbye to five members of its staff at the end of the school year.

The stained glass in the courtroom dome inside the Wyandot County Courthouse was removed this week by Bigelow Glass of Findlay to be refurbished.

Tessa Elliott of the Hospital Council of Northwest Ohio spoke with members of the Wyandot County Health Alliance at the new EMS building Thursday. Elliott discussed the recently completed community health assessment of both adults and youth in Wyandot County, trends and notable statistics in the area as well as how to use the information to help the county.

On Thursday, the Upper Sandusky Community Library Board of Trustees unanimously adopted a resolution asking the Upper Sandusky Exempted Village School District to place a five year, 1.4 mill renewal tax levy on the ballot on Nov. 6.

The Sycamore Parks Committee discussed upgrades to Veterans Memorial Park with some members of the Sycamore Businessmen’s Association Thursday afternoon in a meeting. Darren Frank, representing the First National Bank of Sycamore, said she had been working with Sycamore councilwoman Darcy Zimmerman on the free swim and pizza days for the community pool.

Tickets now are on sale for The Star Players’ summer theater production, “Disney’s The Little Mermaid.” Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories and the classic animated film, “Disney’s The Little Mermaid” is a love story for the ages.

The first ever classic movie night was held Wednesday evening at the Star Theatre. The event was put on by the Wyandot County Council on Aging and sponsored by Huntington Bank.
