CAREY — Carey Village Council on Monday untabled and approved an emergency ordinance approving, authorizing and directing Village Administrator Roy Johnson to enter into a contract with American Municipal Power, the vendor for the automated meter information system.

With a price tag of nearly $2 million for all of the district’s buildings to get air conditioning, the Upper Sandusky Exempted Village School District is considering other options to keep students a little bit cooler, including shortening the school year.
